Role of Women in Freedom Struggle Speech Contest (Online)

On 15thAugust 2021 at 7 pm to 8 pm at Google Meet, a speech contest was conducted on the topic Role of Women in Freedom Struggle. Welcome speech was delivered by Thanveera Nasrin (WDC Student Coordinator). Presidential Speech was delivered by BINDU. R (WDC Coordinator), The Session was Inaugurated by Dr. Hussain Randathani (Principal). Felicitation Speech was delivered by Prof. Shafeekha Chungath Vote of Thanks was delivered by Fathima Rinsha (Student Co- ordinator). 15 girls actively participated in this session. Group Discussion on DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The College Women’s Development Cell Group Discussion and Experience sharing session was carried out on 30 June 2021, on the topic Domestic Violence through Google Meet. Ms. Bindu. R, Coordinator of WDC, coordinated the speech of students. Girl’s students talked their anxiety about domestic violence and certain others express their strong arguments against domestic violence.

Ramla k, HOD of Malayalam Department acted as a mediator of this session. She delivered an inspirational speech and shared her experience in university campus. She also delivered her experience reading about domestic violence

This session was concluded on reassuring students about the safety in sharing experiences with teachers

The program was successful due to the very high participation of the students and teachers of the college.

ONLINE WORKSHOP on HOOP EMBROIDERY

Women empowerment cell had conducted an online hoop embroidery workshop for girls on 20/7/2020. The inauguration of the programme was done by principal dr Hussain Randathanni. Women empowerment cell coordinator, professor Bindu welcomed everyone to the program and student coordinator Sahla sherin.k has given the vote of thanks. The workshop meeting was led by young women entrepreneur Zeenath Irshad, in which she introduced about hoop embroidery, hand embroidery and stitching method and discussed the possibilities of its online platform and the importance of self-dependent earning through this. The feedback from students was collected through Instagram and also decided to collect their works afterwards.

WEBINAR ON GENDER JUSTICE IN CHANGING TIMES

Women empowerment cell conducted a webinar on “Gender justice in changing times” on 21st October 2020 at 2PM through Google meet platform. Assistant Professor Ms. Bindu R (Coordinator of Women empowerment cell) Presided over the session and Ms. Jabira Farsana (Asst. Prof. of Commerce and management) welcomed the participants to the session. Ms. Anju Antony (Assistant Professor, Department of English’s. Joseph’s College Irinjalakkuda) Handled the session and shared the views on Gender justice in changing times.

She shared her views about the importance of awareness of new generation women on gender equality in the society and interacted with the students in a question- answer session. At the end of session, the student coordinator Ms. Asla sherin conveyed the vote of thanks.

E-QUIZ COMPETITION

As a part of women empowerment programme and We conducted a quiz competition on the subject’Motivational Indian women’on 24/8/2020 at 2 PM through Google platform. 31 students attended the program. The following students are the one who got the prizes.

MARCH-8 WOMEN DAY CELEBRATION

The Women’s Development Cell of CPA College of global studies conducted a women’s day celebration, as their final program as per the action plan created for the academic year 2020-21. The duration of the program was from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm, 95 girls as well as 10 lady teachers were participated actively. The inauguration ceremony started at 9.30 am which is presided over by principal Dr. Hussain Randathani, professor Bindu R, coordinator of W.D.C, welcomed the audience The chief guest of program, professor Shamna Husain K T gave a discussion on the topic of women and society. Professor Mary Haritha (HOD of English Department) and Professor Rasitha Kavungal (H O D of Malayalam Dept) gave felicitation to the programme, followed by Jabira Farsana(Assisstant Professor in commerce and management department) gave vote of thanks By creating groups for each activity during the program, it motivated the team spirits and leadership skills among the students. Both teachers and students participated in the program actively. The program channeled as an entertainment activity to get relieved from the tiredness of online classes. After that the best team has awarded with trophies and certificates followed by a flash mob conducted and performed by the students.
