To promote and maintain high standards of integrity, accountability and transparency in academic writing, CPA College of Global Studies, Puthanathani, emphasizes the practice of the following code of ethics in academic research. The student/faculty should uphold the following guidelines.
All academic and research work undertaken by the student in the form of assignments, project reports, and dissertations should be free from plagiarism
The students should give an undertaking that the project/ dissertation/ assignment submitted for assessment is bona fide and has not been published anywhere for any other degree or professional qualification.
The supervising teacher should examine and verify the submitted assignment as free from plagiarism before uploading the final internal marks to the student in the link provided by the University.
The students and faculty members may use the “urkund” anti-plagiarism software link provided in the college library by the University of Calicut to ensure the authenticity of the projects/theses/dissertations submitted.
Students/ faculty members may use Plagiarism check facility available at the Library, University of Calicut alternatively.
All departments of the College must ensure that the students attend sensitization programmes on Plagiarism and get trained in research methodology, regulatory and ethics approvals, equipment use, confidentiality, data management, record keeping, data protection and publication.
The Librarian should investigate any suspected abuse of institutionally licensed research resources and to suspend any user from continued access to all resources.
The Ethics Committee appointed by the Research Promotion Council upon nomination by the Principal monitor the misconducts in academic rsearch within the institution.
